Wings of prey is the PC version of Il-2 Birds of prey for the consoles.

Im gettings it now, ill give my full review once i have played around with it. I have tryed the demo, and my god its beutyfull, difficulty settings are "arcade, simulation and realistic", and put on the hardest, you have your hands full.

Ok i have now been playing for some time and heres my verdick so far.

Read this review http://pc.ign.com/articles/105/1059053p1.html , I agreed almost 100% to it.

Graphics are awesome.

Gameplay is very immersive.

Sounds could be better but its ok.

In the review in that link he says no options for takeoffs, well thats not true, you can select it.

Easyest mode, jump in the plane and just fly, no need to think about anything just pull the trigger and kill kill kill, and you have alot of visual helps on your hud.

Middle difficulty, you have to think a bit more of your planes flight dynamics, but not to much, and the visual clues on you hud is reduced slightly.

Hardest mode, (my mode) Well think IL-2 you have to trim the plane, props, mixture yeah almost everything, there is NO clues on your hud, so your eyes are your best friend (together with trackir), flightdynamics are good, fuck up and you heading for the ground in a deadly spin.

AI, are very good (depending on the difficulty settings), you always get shot down by the plane you dont see.

Now the graphics, ofcourse thats depended on how powerfull a pc your running, but on mine (which is a little above average) i can crank it all the way up and its running smoothe, and i have NEVER EVER seen so good graphics in a ww2 flightsim, the ground graphics are just ...wow. when you flying you really gets the feel that your flying over some real earth (dont know how to explain it, but i hope you know what i meen), alot of the time i have just been flying and enjoying the scenery and not even doing any fighting.

Thats my short review for now, there might be more to come the more i play it.

Just been doing some online battling with Wicked, and it runs smoothe. You need to make an online account and then your off, make your own server or join one.

game styles are:

Dogfights
Team Battles
Strike
Capture airfields
Erh.. one more i cant remember.

So its more or less just like IL-2.

It looks real nice. Graphics look clean. I think I will stay with IL-2. I just added the F-86 Saber and MiG-15 also added the entire map of Korea. Looking forward to some MiG hunting. I also have the F9F8 Cougar, F-84 thunder jet and F-80 Shooting Star. Finding new skins to dress it up. I have my hands full at the minute but I won’t rule Wings out. I have a mission called “The Bridges of Toko-Ri" after the movie. Carrier lands with a jet, killer. I want to take a shot at that next. Thanks for the review Cutter.

just noticed earlier this game is half price, i think it might last until the end of the day, i just bought it so looking forward to playing if anyone is up for it
