The =DA= Clan Rules
Being a DA member is one thing, but behaving like one is another. Here is a list of rules we expect our members to obey in order for them to be allowed to play on our servers. These rules apply to everyone regardless of their position and failure to comply will result in appropriate punishment. If you see a member misbehaving don't hesitate to report him or her to the Admin team. This can be done on the forums.
RULES
As a bearer of the DA tag, everything you do or say in games, be it on our own servers or those of others, will reflect back on us as a clan. As a member, you represent our entire clan and we want, of course, to look good.
We only recruit members that are 18 years and over as we all feel from experience that this is how we can maintain a mature gaming clan.
We do NOT tolerate any type of racist or sexist abuse and if caught, you will be permanently banned from using our servers. Also refrain from directly insulting other players. Expressing frustration is a normal, healthy thing to do, but don't let it get personal or it will result in a kick, or if it continues, a ban. Treat people with respect so you may be treated with respect in return. In the end, it is just a game anyway.
Clan exclusivity is one of the main requirements for joining as you know by now. Make sure you are not in any other clan when you apply to join the DA. You are free to play on other servers but we do expect you to play under your DA tag. This shows loyalty to the clan, which is something we hold high in respect. Of course we would like to see in our own servers most of the time, and you would do well to promote these servers when playing somewhere else (keep in mind that some servers don't allow this though).
When you join the DA Clan, you will initially be ranked as 'Pending Approval'. This rank, or rather status, will remain until you have met all the criteria needed detailed on this page and the 'Join' page.
Members with the 'Pending Approval' status will not be able to participate in the member forums. As soon as all the 'paperwork' is in order your rank will become "Recruit' and you can now start posting on the afore mentioned forums.
Server bandwidth is a precious commodity. Players and members alike are NOT allowed to use mods or cheats on our server or experiment with any glitches. Doing so anyway can and will result in you being kicked from the server, you will then be questioned by admin and probably kicked from the clan.
It is your duty as a member to stay informed on clan news and events so that you are always up to date on recent developments. You can do so by reading the forums frequently, which is where the bulk of this information can be found.
Make sure to show your face once in a while. Members who have been inactive for more than 30 days may find themselves suspended from the clan. We like our members to visit frequently so we know you are still involved with the clan. If you are suspended for being inactive for more than 30 days, you will not be notified.
We understand of course, if you have things going on in your personal life which is keeping you from getting online. You can email or PM any of our Admins on the forums and tell them of your situation so we know you are still interested in being in the clan but simply don't have the time to play.
The DA ventrillo server allows us all to communicate with one another while playing games or just chatting.. This voice server is to be used only by clan members unless someone is an approved guest. Do not share the Voice Server IP or password with non-DA members unless agreed by Admin.
We do not have a rank structure within the DA as we remain a clan started from a group of friends and that is how we will keep it. Obviously to keep and regulate the clan we have to have members as admins and therefore they will keep things in order. To make decisions and suggestions everything is put to the members before a decision is made. Because not everyone will agree we will put things to the vote and we must all accept the majority of these decisions.
CLAN PAYMENT
We have costs in the DA and these are met by donations from all our members. These payments will be used to pay for voice server, game server and web space. They may also be used for clan meets ect.
We as stated before will not spend any funds unless agreed by all members and all the expenses and clan donations will be made public to all members so we can all see exactly where every penny is spent.
Non payment will require a valid explanation as we adopt the attitude that although some members can and do may more than others everybody is required to pay something. Consistent non payment will result in a ban and possibly a kick from the DA.
From day one the DA was born to become a place where we can all come to enjoy some fun gaming and chatting to our friends. Many of us have met and we have a great bunch here. This is because we all contribute and that is the way it will remain. By reading and understanding these simple but important rules i hope this will remain.
